Nevada NORML's Attorney Nancy Lord is a
criminal defense attorney, with a medical degree, who is based in Las Vegas,
NV. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University
of Maryland and her law degree from Georgetown University. Ms. Lord works in
cases involving medical marijuana; FDA issues, both civil and criminal; gun
rights; free speech; and drug crimes. Some of her most celebrated victories
include Ron Kiczenski, charged with cultivation of marijuana for a hemp
planting protest; Lazare Industries, an ozone clinic charged with FDA and
mail fraud violations, 16 federal counts without a conviction on FDA Ms. Lord has been the candidate of the Libertarian Party for mayor of Washington, DC (1990) and for US Vice President (1992). She has written and spoken extensively on issues such as the war on drugs and FDA law.
